At SnapAgeCalc, your privacy is our top priority. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our website and services.
1Information We Collect
Calculator inputs: nothing is collected. Every age calculation runs entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. Your birth date, target dates and results are never sent to us or to any third party, and we never store them.
Site usage: measured with Google Analytics 4. Like any website, loading a page produces network requests. We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-W1P5PZBD21), loaded via the Google tag (gtag.js) from googletagmanager.com. Google Consent Mode v2 is set to denied by default, so no analytics or advertising cookies are set before you consent. While consent is denied, the Google tag still sends cookieless pings to Google containing technical request data (page URL, referrer, user agent, approximate location derived from IP, and a timestamp) with no persistent identifier. Accepting analytics in the banner enables cookie-based measurement (see the Cookie Policy). Advertising storage, ad personalisation and ad user data stay denied at all times.
Hosting and delivery. The site is served as static files through our hosting provider and its CDN (Cloudflare). Their infrastructure processes connection data such as your IP address, user agent and requested URL for delivery, caching and security. This processing is technically unavoidable for any website.
2How We Use Your Information
The data you enter into our calculators exists only in your browser's memory for the duration of your session and is discarded when you close the page or navigate away — we never see it. Aggregated analytics data is used only to understand which pages are useful and how the site performs. It is never used to profile individuals, and it is never sold or shared with advertisers.
3Cookies and Tracking
SnapAgeCalc uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. This helps us improve our services and user experience. Google Analytics collects anonymized data about page views, session duration, and general usage patterns.
We implement Google Consent Mode v2, which means analytics data is only collected after you provide explicit consent via our cookie banner. You can change your preferences at any time.
Essential browser storage (such as theme preferences and consent choices) is used strictly for basic functionality. For more details, please see our Cookie Policy.
4Data Storage
SnapAgeCalc has no user accounts and no database. We keep no server-side record of you. The only data stored on your device is browser storage we set for functionality: your theme preference and your cookie-consent choice (localStorage), the offline cache used by the installable app (service worker), and — only if you accept analytics — Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*). You can clear all of it from your browser settings at any time.
5Third-Party Services
SnapAgeCalc uses the following third-party services:
- Google Analytics 4 / Google tag (gtag.js): Loaded on every page from googletagmanager.com. Cookie-based measurement is activated only with your consent; before consent, Consent Mode v2 limits it to cookieless pings. We do not use Google Tag Manager containers. Google Privacy Policy
- Hosting and CDN (Lovable hosting, Cloudflare): Process connection data (IP address, user agent, requested URL) to deliver, cache and protect the site.
- No other external resources: Fonts, scripts, styles and images are self-hosted. The site makes no requests to font CDNs, ad networks or social media platforms.
We do not use advertising networks, social media tracking plugins, or other third-party tracking services.
6Children's Privacy
SnapAgeCalc is suitable for users of all ages. Since we do not collect any personal information, there are no special concerns regarding children's privacy. Parents can feel confident allowing their children to use our calculators.
7Your Rights (GDPR)
Under the GDPR and similar laws you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port and object to processing of your personal data. We hold no account data and no calculator inputs, so there is nothing of that kind to retrieve or erase. Where analytics data is processed with your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time by choosing "Decline" in the cookie banner or clearing your browser storage, and you may exercise your rights against Google as the analytics provider. Server logs held by our hosting and CDN providers are processed on the basis of legitimate interest in operating a secure website.
8Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
